Agroliga Group invests 15 UAH mio. into development of livestock breeding complex specializing in milk production. The enterprise is located in the Dvurechnoe district of the Kharkiv region.
In the year 2010 6 UAH mio. will be directed at development of dairy products and additionally 9 UAH mio. in the year 2011.
These capital investments will give the opportunity to carry out the reconstruction of the daily farm premises, to purchase new equipment, to place 2 modern milking rooms into operation and to increase the herd of cattle by 40%.
As per today Agroliga enterprise is engaged in production of milk with its further sale to milk-refining complexes.
Our decision to invest funds into development of livestock breeding complex was dictated, first of all, by the peculiarities of the situation at the national market of milk and dairy products. The demand for milk in Ukraine considerably exceeds its supply, the needs of raw refining enterprises in the product are extremely great. And such situation will continue for at lest 5 more years, according to the words of the General Director of Agroliga Group Aleksandr Berdnik. As explained by the company executive, daily reduction of the herd of cattle in the country and, accordingly, reduction of volumes of milk production resulted in the need for Ukraine to compensate the shortage of raw materials at the expense of import of finished dairy products.
Implementation of the investment plan will give the opportunity for the company to increase the production of milk by 230% by the end of the year 2011 (from 985 thousand tons per year to 2270 thousand tons per year). |
